Notes:

We now move back in time in the story of David to see something of his passionate devotion to God in worship.

Right from the beginning, God had been determined to have a people in loving relationship with Him amongst whom He would live, - and the presence of God amongst His people is a theme that passes right through the Bible.  David was well aware of that, and he set himself the task of doing everything he could to have the Ark of God, - the symbol of the presence of God, - brought into Jerusalem.

As the Ark approached Jerusalem, David danced with all his might before the Lord in uninhibited worship, giving us an insight into what true worship looks like!
